MAC at the Bay Vancouver
Downtown is holding a special event
celebrating the launch of their Holiday Collection Sets. This is not an
event; it’s an extravaganza and an over-the-top celebration
(In fact they are taking over half of our main floor to stage this
event!). 35 of their top national makeup artists
and trainers from all over North America will demo the new collection
from Oct. 22nd – Oct.24th.

How
many of you ladies are in constant search of a comfortable yet feminine
looking and elegant lingerie?
Bra Allure
- the new Canadian online lingerie store is dedicated to bringing you
those rare, hard to find lingerie pearls: fruity colors, sensual and
delicate embroidery for both comfort and refinement. Natasha Foresi, owner of Bra Allure shares a few of her favorite picks from the Lou Brand fall collection.
The Lou brand - relatively new to Canadian market has a very youthful and daring style. “Chic lingerie with a decidedly youthful attitude”. Her favorites in this fall collection are Edward and Music Hall.
* Edward arriving later this September is truly one of a kind
collection. Very contemporary motif with floral embroidery makes a very
feminine combination
* Music hall, which is available in caramel color throughout the year, will arrive this October in Black Current (or cassis as the French call it). Very comfortable in both half cup and moulded cup versions. Music hall mixes the softness of microfiber and the elegance of a geometric motif embroidered on elastic tulle. Authentic Swarovski crystals give a final touch to this gorgeous collection.
For those of you wearing D cup and higher Foresi recommends the brand Empreinte. All of their bras without exception are stunningly beautiful and comfortable. Paloma is probably their most innovative collection this fall. Moulded cup is decorated with Calais Leavers Lace with velvet ribbon for glamorous style. This is a great bra for an evening dress.
And at last, this fall season is marked with dark purple colors. Every brand though came up with their own particular name:
black grape (Charnos, Anais collection), dhalia (Empreinte, Melody collection) and cassis (Lou, Music Hall collection), fuchsia (Felina Conturelle, Chalet collection).

Who needs a man when you’ve got his jacket? I’m loving my new boyfriend blazer from
Topshop which recently opened its doors to our neighbors down south in New York City. I’d make the trip just to shop in this
Mecca of London fashion. My
personal favorites are their perfectly tailored jeans and their Marianne
collection. But that’s not
all! They carry everything from
dresses, to swimwear and have a stylish maternity line. If you’re not feeling quite so
adventurous, they do ship their glorious designs but only to the United
States. I did however find a small
surprise in Holt Renfrew recently where they carry the Topshop Kate Moss
collection.
